CBD against ADHD/ADD

People with ADHD / ADD tend to have slightly lower levels of dopamine.

Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that affects the brain’s cognitive abilities such as mood, attention and memory. Low levels of dopamine can cause attention deficit disorders.

Cannabinoids found in our CBD oils have been shown to improve the transmission of chemical neurotransmitters in the brain, specifically dopamine, which contributes to improved cognitive abilities.

Cannabinoids also help increase the activity of receptors called “adenosine” which in turn can increase the concentration in people with ADHD.

A study conducted at King’s College London showed that CBD contributed to patients’ improved cognitive abilities, higher focus and concentration, and reduced hyperactivity. – https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0924977X17302377?via=ihub

CBD – better than drug-classified medications for ADHD / ADD?

Unlike drugs such as Concerta and Ritalin which are widely used in the management of ADHD / ADD, CBD Oil has minimal side effects and has been considered by the World Health Organization (WHO) to be a gentle substance.

CBD is considered very safe but despite this, some users may experience some side effects. However, this is relatively rare, it usually occurs if you take too much of the oil. However, the side effects are significantly milder than many of the conventional treatment methods. Side effects of CBD oil in the worst case include diarrhea, drowsiness, dry mouth and nausea. It has not been shown to be life threatening in higher doses, ever. Neither nerve / brain damage nor addictive effects.

Side effects of ADHD / ADD medication (Concerta, Ritalin, Elvanse, Attentin, etc.) include personality changes, increasing tics, clear addictive symptoms, life-threatening high doses, aggressive mood, schizophrenia, confusion.

We want to emphasize that most ADHD / ADD medications contain Amphetamine – a life-threatening opiate that in high doses can cost a life or cause serious nerve / brain damage for life as well as a very high risky substance that causes clear addictive symptoms.

In 2017, a study was conducted in Germany where the people who participated showed increased ability to concentrate and better sleep patterns.

The study involved 30 participants and was conducted by Dr. Eva Milis and Dr. Franjo Grotenhermen – The study also indicated that patients responded more positively to CBD than to conventional medication for ADHD / ADD. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/28576350/
